Loan Partner
Mac Kruizenga joined Kalamazoo Mortgage in January 2024 as a loan partner, bringing with him a passion for helping people achieve the dream of homeownership. He is dedicated to providing a smooth, transparent, and personalized mortgage experience for every client. What Mac enjoys most about his job is guiding people through the complexities of buying a home, especially in volatile market conditions. He values clear communication and works proactively to ensure clients feel supported throughout the entire process. Mac’s goal is to build strong, lasting relationships with his clients and to help them navigate the often-challenging homebuying journey with confidence.
A key part of Mac’s approach is rooted in the core value of “Welcome change and embrace challenges.” He believes that growth and development come from embracing change and facing challenges head-on, and this mindset drives his work ethic and personal growth. Outside of work, Mac stays active through basketball, golf, tennis, and chess. He’s also an avid follower of UFC and enjoys trading in the stock market. As a dedicated University of Michigan fan, Mac’s enthusiasm for his team is a reflection of his energetic, driven nature.
Mac’s approach to helping clients is all about creating a smooth experience, building strong relationships, and being proactive in communication. He’s committed to ensuring that clients fully understand their mortgage options and helping them make the best decision for their needs. One misconception he’s passionate about debunking is the idea that you need 20 percent down to buy a home. Mac works with clients to explore various options and show them that homeownership is achievable with different financial strategies.
Before joining Kalamazoo Mortgage, Mac worked as a licensed insurance agent at Bankers Life, which provided him with valuable experience in customer service and problem-solving. He also holds a Life Insurance License and is licensed with multiple healthcare carriers. Mac’s competitive nature extends beyond his work; he enjoys a wide range of hobbies, including sports and stock market trading. Despite his outgoing personality, one thing that might surprise people about Mac is his fear of public speaking—something he has learned to manage despite being a talkative, extroverted person.
Mac is a proud family man with one brother and a beloved golden retriever/border collie mix named Maize. He is committed to providing the highest level of service to his clients, making sure their experience is as stress-free and rewarding as possible.
